Herman is Rotary district international service chair and a domain expert in the field of health care Imaging and IT. He published several textbooks and study guides in this field, and has been involved with standards organizations such as DICOM, HL7 and IHE for many years. He is an experienced educator and consultant; he has taught in several LMIC countries about PACS administration through RAD-Aid and as a Rotary volunteer took several teams to Nicaragua to build clinics and schools.
